.TH HTMP UCB 4/19/79 UCB .SH NAME htmp \- home directory and teletype data base .SH DESCRIPTION The home directory and teletype data base .I htmp is used to partially simulate version 7 environments, by .I setenv (UCB), and the .I getenv subroutine of .IR libretro (UCB). The file consists of an array of structures of the form: .PP .DT \fBstruct\fR htmp { .br \fBshort\fR uid; .br \fBchar\fR home[28]; .br \fBshort\fR ttytype; .br }; .PP The .it ttytype is actually a two character code, and is defined by .IR termcap (UCB). .PP The file is indexed by the various teletypes in a system dependent fashion, using the result of a call to ttyn (3). .PP A set of routines internal to .IR libretro (UCB) allows easy access to this data base. .sh "SEE ALSO" printenv (UCB), setenv (in csh (UCB)) .sh AUTHOR William Joy
