The conventional mount point is .Pa /proc . This command is normally executed by .Xr mount 8 at boot time. .Pp The proc filesystem presents a directory entry for each process in the system. The name of an entry is process id in decimal notation. Opening an entry for reading and/or writing gives access to the process address space.
