The priority may be specified numerically or as a ``facility.level'' pair. For example, ``-p local3.info'' logs the message(s) as _i_n_f_ormational level in the _l_o_c_a_l_3 facility. The default is ``user.notice.'' --ii Log the process id of the logger process with each line. --ff _f_i_l_e Log the specified file. message The message to log; if not specified, and the --ff flag is not provided, standard input is logged.
