# Instructions on how to build the hsimd disk driver
#

Using a cleanly installed and built Solaris gate with sun4v support,
follow these steps:

NOTE: You should use the same release of Solaris as the version on
      the disk image that you will be using the hsimd driver for under
      simulation.

1) Edit usr/src/uts/sun4v/Makefile.files
   Add this line:
        HSIMD_OBJS    = hsimd.o hsimd_asm.o

2) Edit usr/src/uts/sun4v/Makefile.sun4v.shared (or
        usr/src/uts/sun4v/Makefile.sun4v pre-Solaris 11)
   Add this line:
        DRV_KMODS        += hsimd

3) cp Makefile to new directory usr/src/uts/sun4v/hsimd

4) cp hsimd.c to usr/src/uts/sun4v/io

5) cp hsimd_asm.s to usr/src/uts/sun4v/ml

6) cd usr/src/uts/sun4v/hsimd
   And type make
