<P>
Lambda forms (lambda expressions) have the same syntactic position as
expressions.  They are a shorthand to create anonymous functions; the
expression <code>lambda <var>arguments</var>: <var>expression</var></code>
yields a function object.  The unnamed object behaves like a function
object defined with
