The following tokens are operators:

&lt;       &gt;       &lt;=      &gt;=      ==      !=      &lt;&gt;
</pre></div>

<P>
The comparison operators <code>&lt;&gt;</code> and <code>!=</code> are alternate
spellings of the same operator.  <code>!=</code> is the preferred spelling;
<code>&lt;&gt;</code> is obsolescent.
