22When in the course of human events, it becomes
23necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have
24connected them with another, and to assume among the
25powers of the earth the separate and equal station to which
26the laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent
27respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should
28declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

31are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator
32with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty,
33and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights,
