_\bF_\ba_\bs_\bt_\bb_\bo_\bo_\bt and _\bf_\ba_\bs_\bt_\bh_\ba_\bl_\bt are shell scripts which reboot and
halt the system without checking the file systems. This is
done by creating a file /_\bf_\ba_\bs_\bt_\bb_\bo_\bo_\bt, then invoking the _\br_\be_\bb_\bo_\bo_\bt
program. The system startup script, /_\be_\bt_\bc/_\br_\bc, looks for this
file and, if present, skips the normal invocation of
_\bf_\bs_\bc_\bk(8).
