_\bS_\bl_\ba_\bt_\bt_\ba_\bc_\bh is used to assign a tty line to a network inter-
face, and to define the network source and destination
addresses. The _\bt_\bt_\by_\bn_\ba_\bm_\be parameter is a string of the form
``ttyXX'', or ``/dev/ttyXX''. The optional _\bb_\ba_\bu_\bd_\br_\ba_\bt_\be parame-
ter is used to set the speed of the connection. If not
specified, the default of 9600 is used.
Only the super-user may attach a network interface.
To detach the interface, use `ifconfig _\bi_\bn_\bt_\be_\br_\bf_\ba_\bc_\be-_\bn_\ba_\bm_\be down'
after killing off the _\bs_\bl_\ba_\bt_\bt_\ba_\bc_\bh process. _\bi_\bn_\bt_\be_\br_\bf_\ba_\bc_\be-_\bn_\ba_\bm_\be is
the name that is shown by n\bne\bet\bts\bst\bta\bat\bt(\b(1\b1)\b)
